Got this book for my granddaughter to learn about what's going on during the games she watches her daddy coach. Very good work done by author. I even learned a few new things too. This is the second one I have bought for kids who have daddies coaching high school football. Sure helps them learn terms, game and equipment. Helps to see what daddy is doing as a coach. Won't hesitate to buy another in the future.

My nephew has been obsessed with football from the moment he could grasp a pigskin in his little hands. This book is the perfect combination of picture book and football primer for a 5-year-old. It may also be instructive for people who've always missed several of the more basic aspects of the game. You will know what each player's role is in the game (beyond your basic wide receiver, quarterback, etc), and the key points will be clear. Ahm. Not that you don't already know those things (nudge nudge).

And so it begins, our son has been indoctrinated into the world of football. This book is very cute the images, but illustrations are good and my son loves it! This is a great book for any family that loves football and wants to share it with their kids

Good for introducing football lingo to kids and non football enthusiast! (so they can STOP getting on your nerves DURING game time!)

got this book for my 4 yr old grandson, who love sports. This book explains the rudiments of the game in story form: just what a 4 yr old wants!!

Five year old grandson loved it!

Can't say why not since my grandson is a football fanatic. Gives the basics, written straight forward. Maybe too dry for my 5 year old? Read it once but he keeps it on his bookshelf so not a total write off.
